LP Denver recorded this back in 1975...He had a huge career that sadly ended in 1997 when an experimental airplane he was piloting crashed off by the lighthouse in Pacific Grove, California...I lived just a mile from where the plane hit the water at the mouth of Monterey Bay...This LP has one of his major hits, "Calypso" that was about the ship the Jacques Cousteau sailed around the globe studying the Seven Seas...

Edited 3 years agoA decent record for fans of John Denver. Perhaps, some of his finer lyrics are found on this LP. The sound quality is acceptable, but gets a 6 out of 10 for balance. The LP sounded "boxy." Much of that can be adjusted by increasing the treble and base a bit to one's preference. Overall, a nice listen, and addition to my growing John Denver collection.
*Spinning on a Fluance RT82 turntable, to a Fluance PA10 pre-amp, to Sony STRDH190 2-CH receiver, with Fluance "signature" loud speakers.
