Contrary to popular opinion, I think this is one of their best albums. Listening to it now just makes it more poignant with what’s going on in the world now.

Edited 4 years agoGot this for Christmas, and both records are extremely warped. Still playable, and still sounds pretty great, but I'm definitely getting a replacement copy. I've been collecting vinyl for about a year at this point, and this is the worst warping I've ever seen, a good chunk of the vinyl I buy is new vinyl, so this seems odd, especially given that it was pressed by TMR. If you're willing to take the risk of a warped record, you really can't beat this; it's cheap and it's a great album, however, there was some surface noise on side B, not enough to ruin it, but enough to be noticeable. The packaging is excellent, with printed inner sleeves as well as the lined paper inner sleeves, along with a small booklet and code, although it would be great if this was a gatefold.
EDIT: Got my replacement copy from Amazon, and I'm still somewhat disappointed. Whilst not as extreme, there is still warping, especially on the second record. Amazon also ripped the top of the shrink off, so I can't keep it in the shrink as I do with all my other new non-gatefold records. Considering my options here atm, considering a return. -

Great package (I wish it comes gatefold but oh well) Side C had a little surface noise in the first time played. Overall os a great press and one of the best Coldplay album ever! Must add to your archive. Especially you can find it standard press around $10 in certain places.

I bought this vinyl album in Amsterdam. On the cover it said: manufactured at Third Man Pressing in Detroit, MI. On the labels it said: made in the EU. So it's an European pressing housed in an US cover. This pressing is by the way absolute outstanding!

Edited 5 years agoMy copy sounds crazy good too! Must be the early pressings. It helps when you clean it before you play it, new or not.

A terrific Coldplay album! Horrendous pressing. Ticks and pops throughout the quieter songs (like 'Daddy'), and annoying background noise throughout all 4 sides. The mastering is nice, so the music does sound great. I was expecting better from 3rd Man Records, being how Jack White is such a vinyl enthusiast. It sounds like a typical crappy United pressing. Very disappointing, considering it's $30 price tag.

Songs are very nice but the pressing is terrible, background noise and muddy bass all through the play.
