Released in standard clear jewel case with a black CD tray. The 6 (12 page) stapled booklet features in addition to the cover art: photos, graphics, a list of performers, a track list with track order, duration's, take#, credits, year, label & rights societies and a total time, production credits, special thank yous, liner note by - David Grisman, liner note by Bruce Hornsby and a note by Ornette Coleman. Rear cover artwork features a track list with duration's,Take #, credits, year and a total time
Recorded live over several sessions. A full albums worth of jazz standards was the idea, but after listening to the tapes, they decided that what they had was good enough to release, despite using only three songs.
The Grisman tune, 16/16, was only played at one of the sessions and happened to be the only time Jerry Garcia ever played the song.
