This is a Miles Davis with my favourite group featuring Tony Williams, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Wayne Shorter. It feels almost like a transition album, creeping towards fusion but not going fully into the deep end with it. But it's also a semi-abandonment of hard bop. It's got a pretty loose sound, actually. A rather chill environment. But geniuses at work the whole time. Guessing by the time "In A Silent Way" came 'round the next year, people largely forgot about this album. But it's worth hearing and the fact it is so etherial means you're going to want to listen to it again and again.
