This is a spectacular rock and roll record and an early hidden gem in Bowie’s diverse catalog of music that I’m still exploring and enjoying. The bass on this album is heavy and deep as a black hole and Ronson’s guitar tone is super crunchy and full of syrupy sustain. The vocal effects on the title track are hauntingly cool. I much prefer the cover of this version to the first press Mercury cartoon cover. Pressed on thin dynaflex vinyl and it sounds amazing. This album was recorded well and I doubt you could go wrong with any of these earlier pressings from what I’ve read here.

Edited 2 years agoMy copy has the promo radio station sticker on front. Really impressed, especially with the bottom end, rumbling bass guitar and thumping bass drum.
