It's important to that Gescom isn't necessarily Autechre. Gescom is a collective of guys where the involvement has never been defined. So "Motor" could be entirely Autechre, or not Autechre at all.

I can totally understand why Autechre/Gescom fans, looking for sophisticated crunchy IDM, can dislike the more straightforward electro and techno approach featured on this unusually uptempo and "simplistic" EP in their discography, but for DJs looking for the twisted yet dancefloor-friendly "timeless and leftfield" vibe really popular at the moment, this EP is an overlooked treat, matching with many other genres and obviously featuring the trademark Ae production level. Super cool.
