Reviews
-
Edited 11 years agoThe other day I read a review where Energit was compared to the original incarnation of the Mahavishnu Orchestra (minus the violin and plus the saxophone). The habit of making comparisons is one of the mind's slippery slopes; indulge in it a few times too many and may find yourself comparing a water melon to a large round toothbrush without bristles.
By the way, the side-by-side comparison of Energit and the MO might turn out to be not in favor of the latter. To wit, Energit played elegant, neatly composed and smoothly flowing music, which can't be always said about the MO with all their "creative chaos". That's why it's so easy and pleasant to sit through the whole Energit album without skipping tracks.
