I just replaced a 2008 version of this repress that was extremely noisy with an absolutely stunning version from Bandcamp - the sleeve is now quality plastic instead of paper and the vinyl is spotless visually and sonically. Wherever KRANKY Is doing the SOTL (and other) pressings are doing a fantastic job!

Purchased recently at my local record store. Pretty solid sound on this one. Pressing was flat and a relatively clean record. Nothing excessive in of surface noise but it's certainly more pronounced considering the quiet nature of the music. Still though, it never bothered me as the quiet little ticks blended into the ethereal nature of the music. It's one to get lost to for sure.

Hype sticker on mine refers to limited run of 1000. So seems like they’ve done some additional pressings since 2008

Pressing is decent for me. Not noisy, and it has a clear separation between the music's highs and lows. Too bad the paper sleeve left surface scuffs all over the vinyl. :/
-
speaking of dots - the label design looks very much like the pointilist portret of our former queen on Dutch stamps of the time ...
-
Anyone else has a pressing defect on side 2? Like series of dots following the grooves that make quick TTTRRRRAAT sounds...
