Edited 2 years agoOne of the greatest albums of all time. Why is ABBA catalog being reissued and China Crisis not? WTH? Gary and Eddie are superb song crafters! -
If you only know ‘Wishful thinking’ from this album then you’re in for a treat . Surely a contender for one of the best synth pop albums of the 80s. Almost ambient in places . There’s very little filler here. Mellow but never in a dull way . The title track and ‘Here comes a rain cloud ‘ are stand out tracks .
The original U.K. vinyl pressing sounds great and is from the days when vinyl quality control meant something . -
It's high time Virgin pull their thumbs out and remaster all the China Crisis albums. Bonus tracks too please! And for God's sake's don't let Rhino or Cherry Red anywhere near them! If Virgin can't be bothered maybe give Edsel a crack at 'em. They did a reasonably fine job with the Blancmange & Thompson Twins
