Am I right in thinking this is the first PSB single to not receive a commercial 7" release?

Can anyone confirm that this album only came out on CD and was never released on wax? The swing version of Can you Forgive Her is my all-time favorite track by a band of which I own nearly everything.

I never understood why the Pet Shop Boys prefered the Jam & Spoon remix over the Coconot 1 one for the official single version when the Jam & Spoon was so dark and the Coconut 1 so "insanely good" and way more high-energy and in the spirit of the "Very" album itself.

Pop irony at its best: YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS MAD takes on the backstabbing world of fame with a campy disco beat. Jam & Spoon (back when they were still producing interesting and worthwhile tracks) take it slightly darker and faster, reminiscent of their groundbreaking Age of Love mix. (Strangely enough, this was the same year they would start riding "Right in the Night" straight into mediocrity). Showtune lovers should go directly to the b-sides; their cover of "If Love Were All" is one that Mr. Coward himself would have approved of. And perhaps he would even appreciate the big band subtext of the swing version of "Can You Forgive Her."
