The promo copy of this alternate cover is simply gold stamped on the back '...promotional...return upon demand by the owner WEA Records Ltd. Acceptance of this recording...' Not all printing shows or is readable. One of the pathetic ways that the record companies tried to lay claim to ownership of items that they sent out (unasked for) to reviewers, DJs etc. These sort of claims were thrown out by a court when CBS tried to prosecute someone for having the temeerity to sell thier promos and make some money out of them. They were deemed a gift by the court and therefore the receiptee was entitled to dispose of these products as they saw fit. Soon after CBS stopped making promos but companies continued to put 'Promotional copy not for sale' into the 90s (WEA in particular). Examples of how multi million £ companies sweat the small stuff and shoe how pathetic they really are.
