I now understand why "The City" ("Storstad") was cut in half for international release. Because it had to make room for "Divided Reality" found on all international versions but not the Swedish original. Also the Mellotron seems to be completely absent on the Swedish original LP leading me to believe he just got one after finishing the original Swedish album and touching up the international version.

just to clarify , there are definately vocals on this album how others could miss this is very strange .
singers aren't credited but there are plenty of la la la's oohs etc.

I also bought the Virgin CD. Version, after 30 years off listening to 5 Different Pressings on Vinyl , it was a Smasch Suprise and a welcome Adition to Bo´s Small Output...
Hope there is still a little more in the Archive to listen to in the Future...

If you've ever owned Magician's Hat on LP, and then you owned the CD reissue, and wondered why "Big City" is much longer on the CD than the old LP, well here's why: the LP was originally released in Sweden on Silence as Ur Trollkarlens Hatt, and "Big City", called "Storstad" here is around 12 minutes long, twice as long as the UK/US release. When Charisma issued this in the UK and US in 1973, they cut the song in half. I really can't understand why, because I like the full version, which you can only get on the CD reissue or the original Swedish LP.
