Edited 3 years agoMastering on this reissue is top. According to the label "The files were transferred by Brian Bennett (and team) from the original analogue tapes from which Matt Colton did new masters." Doubt we are going to see a AAA reissue, nor one that can beat that production chain. I know there have been some justified complains here with the MPO pressing (none of which I've personally experienced with my own copy), but this cut is going to stand the test of time.

My copy has some big white lumps of dirt pressed into the vinyl itself and a visible bump on track 2. Not super impressed really.

Edited 7 years agoi bought it for "solstice" - a masterpiece in its own league..but if you're into the original "blade runner" soundtrack..you will love "ocean glide" too. A1 and A3 - let's just say these two perfectly replaced Black Devil Disco Club in my bag.. give this LP a try.
-
Sounds so perfect. what can i say more. for me..."Solstice" is like my mind, my life...my music style.
-
Five-star reissue -- excellent pressing. Four stars for the music; it really kind of runs out of steam during the last couple tracks. Record sounds great though.
-
Omg that's precisely the way it's supposed to sound a well done reissue. I need more stars to rate this. Btw at last I have confirmed that my stylus wasn't damaged/dirty...(!) Thanks people involved here (Matt Colton!) Chapeau!
