AC/DC – The Razors Edge

My copy does not have the "Not for Sale" Stamp

My copy has a slight matrix variant but this pressing sounds very good on my system. Given comments on the 2003 versions I thought I'd share this one sounds good!

I have this and the UK first press and think this pressing sounds better (by my ears).

Fantastic sound - huge sounding guitars, fantastic vocals, nice crisp drums, and really solid bass. A touch on the bright side, but that tends to be how AC/DC sounds in general, so not a bad thing in my opinion. Very happy with this press.

50th anniversary edition? Heaven's 2 Betsy. I must've been in a coma for 20 years.

Alright, for ones who want to know, I just got the US pressing; I expected it to crush this EU version, but it's not the case, because the sound is actually almost... the same.
More precisely, the US version sounds just a tad louder and less compressed (to my ears), but both are great, in any case I move my body in the same way with the same energy (and maybe even a very little bit more with the EU one) when I'm listening to them.

After, this is just my opinion, but what I learned from this experience, is that it's not worth to get a headache about wanting at all costs (unless you are a collector obviously) the overseas pressing, because the difference between both is not so big.

And besides, I would also add that if the European cut comes from the CD, then the American one too, and if this is not the case, then this difference is inaudible and does not impact the sensations.

Now, I don't know on the other hand, what worth the US club edition and the Aussie version in comparison, but I'd stop here for this album.

Recently, after selling the car, my father took this disc out of it, and one day I decided to listen to it, having become interested in it. I was very impressed, from the first song I already knew that it would be interesting. This was my first CD I listened to and I really liked it. The sound is good, the recording is professional, it was pleasant to listen to. I recommend everyone to listen, the first press always has the best sound.

Sounds great! Flat pressing with minimal, if any background noise. Not near as punchy as my original copy on CD, but apples to oranges there and I can turn up the low end to compensate. Don't go into it thinking your getting an audiophile pressing if you pick this up, but still, it definitely sounds like they put in the effort to get this to market so I really couldn't be happier. 4.5 out of 5, but my rating is slightly skewed by nostalgia ;)

The good - flat quiet gorgeous looking vinyl. Nice jacket and inserts.
The bad - Seriously lacking bass and punch.
Still pretty good tho as I don’t think the production on the OG was ever that flash? Someone may have a direct comparison perhaps? Didn’t expect audiophile quality so not disappointed. Solid 4 out of 5
