The songs On Top, The Second Coming and Her Entry have been released previously as different version. Each of them is better on this album. More powerful and noisy. Actually, they probably are the best ones on this album. Many songs have a tormenting bass frequency pulse. Would be interested in testing this with some powerful speakers with a subwoofer. High-pitched buzz of similar style than on previous albums, but here the overall sound is somehow a lot better. The bass pulses are more striking, and the high buzz is even meaner than before. Although this is extremely crude and brutal, it's easy to like. Some weird sound of water used on many songs, which is peculiar in this soundscape, but it somehow makes the listening experience even more dirty. The vocals are great, which is not a surprise. The songs are suitably pretty short, and this is, despite being violent and harsh, quite easy to listen to. Awesome album, and it gets even better with more listenings.

Looks like the disc is identical to the 1996 CD version – can anyone confirm that?

One of their best , most vicious and most varied early albums.

Why is this even 180g? If theres any music that where audiophile quality (if that even was true for 180g) wouldnt make sense its Whitehouse.

Uncompromising is the word - listening to this record from the beginning to the end is a a challenge.Somehow the band managed to make "songs" even if there's no notes, chords or anything that sound like lyrics But it exists - it does for some mysterious reasons.This is why it was an incredible record yesterday & it's still today.
