Was an early adopter of Gary Numan - don't how I came across him. Haven't listened to REPLICAS in 20 years. What a fantastic album. A lot of these songs sound like they're written about 2024 - uncanny. A very nice Beggars Banquet re-release, dead quiet, no surface garbage, probly 140 gms. Lyrics/Credits insert; and a solid 'A' press. 'A+' music/lyrics.

This 24-bit 96-kHz remaster, coming 45 (!) years after its debut, sounds amazing. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. The soundstage is very wide and deep, making speakers nearly disappear. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I can't find any faults at all.

The inner sleeve, updated with the Vinyl 180 logo actually reproduces the US / Canadian artwork, crediting Gary Numan instead of Tubeway Army.

I'm blown away by the sound of this pressing! Don't have anything to compare it to but I can't imagine more punch and clarity as this thing packs! Happy to have gotten a very clean copy for under $100 but it's one of Gary's best albums so very much worth it.

My UK pressing has 'Not for Sale, Promotion Copy' stamped in gold on the front cover and the matrix doesn't match any listed here, it's A2/B2 and has WL instead of EG. Also has the Warner logo embossed on the back of the sleeve.
