This is the pressing with the spine stating KRAFTWERKEX. Misprint? -

From memory, there is a spelling error on the spine of this pressing. States Kraftwerkex. I've got about three different pressings, and one of them is definitely wrong -

Anyone familiar with why the 2002 mix is labeled as Version 2 here? What’s the difference? -

I have a CD like this sealed and to this day I'm confused whether the media only has 9 tracks or 10? The error then comes from the printing, right? -
This is clearly underrated. Abe Duque did remixes that are at least as good as the other officials one. All are great, even if the most obviously great is the first one, extremely energetic and punchy, doing a great job in a mix. The 2nd one is more on an electro side, with broken beats and the 3rd remix is more on a dubby techno style, deep and smooth. Ace.

I think this EP/single really highlights the band's age; the original song really seems to just walk the same path they'd forged decades ago. It's a fine song, but its substance has really nothing to offer that their original albums haven't done, and done better, in my opinion.
I think the worst aspect are the lyrics. They used to make great use of minimal lyricism, but this is just really boring: 'Expo...two thousand' and 'twenty-first century' are two such lines used over and over instead of any interesting narrative. I think their point is that the year 2000 happened, which isn't exactly riveting.
I have the edition with 9 additional remixes, and I can't for the life of me listen to more than a couple at a time. Stretching so little song over so many tracks is probably the reason maxi-singles didn't last for too many years after. They're just tiring. -

No reason to choose between these remixes, they all hold up, at the very least in Kraftwerk's retrofuturist mode. I'm particularly fond of Rolando's effort, a shuffling 2nd wave techno-affair with a guitar solo and also an appropriate runtime. The rest appears a bit curtailed, but that's why we rewind. The discs pack a punch, too, don't judge from the youtube clips. A variation of the DJ Rolando and UR Mixes made it into Kraftwerk's 3d live show as "Planet der Visionen", so I think that Hütter/Schneider must have been quite happy with the treatments, as well.
Also, does it seem like this Expo project brought the group back from hiatus a little bit? There had been 8 years since "The Mix" and 13 years since the last originals in "Techno Pop". Then this, 3 years later the "Soundtracks", a world tour, and active touring and reshaping the catalogue since. -

This edition contains the original Kraftwerk material, as opposed to just the remixes as in the other versions. The remixes are good, and i really love the orbital remix. However the originals, including the ambient version (listed as klingklang 2001 mix)... are brilliant. -

Has anyone on here got the digi of the UR mix? Much obliged! :)
