Isn't the melody of "Redemption" from the movie "Once upon a Time in America" (1984)?

With so many great Techno tracks coming out of in the early and mid 90's, it can be quite hard to pinpoint the more legendary tracks, but RMB's Redemption is definitely one of them. Redemption is beautiful yet haunting, very uplifting but quite hard and intense. The song came about when Rolf Maier-Bode was playing around with his piano when he was still living with his parents. The amazing synth melodies were created on a Roland JV 1080 and Sony R7 Reverb, as was many of the classic sounds created by RMB. The piano riffs are done incredibly well and wonderfully uplifting even comparing to UK Breakbeat Hardcore from 1994, it still stands out. There is a female vocal, but its short and woven into the song nicely making it even more epic. This is one of those songs that defines Rave music to me, a pounding beat with glorious harmonic sequences, oh and Rolf wrote the track when he was 20 years old!

Simply put: incredible. I first heard this composition on the techno trax vol. 13 compilation on ZYX in 8th grade and to this day is still one of my all time favrotie tracks. Pulsing, dramatic, melodic, fluid, and ever changing are only a few words to minimalistically describe this powerful tour de force of sound. The composition in itself is almost classical and is a very serious sound. At time you might forget you are listening to synthetic sounds because it carries such raw energy. I recommend this to anyone....period.
