Bolt Thrower – Honour - Valour - Pride

I like vocals which evokes me Mark Barney Greenway from Benediction album Subsconscious terror or some early Napalm Death. Of course guitar riffs are perfect as always , massive BCRich sound. Come on!! this crusade must continue!

The pictures for this edition are incorrect. They show the European or German pressing. This should be the US repress from Metal Blade. The matrix matches correctly.

Methodical Death Metal, the essence of which is precisely the process. However, there is a sense of proportion here, as well as a unique ability to knockout and place accents in the composition. It seems that they play quite simply, but damn charming. Уou can't throw out the words from a song, the Bolt Thrower brand vibe appears in the first seconds of this album (as well as on all the others) and just hypnotically holds the attention for all 50 minutes. Some kind of appropriate and deliberate slowness of their recordings sometimes goes much better than the ultra-fast and ultra-technical ages of "colleagues in the slaughterhouse". Honour - Valour - Pride is an excellent album, although in some ways underestimated due to the change of vocalist. But time has put everything in its place - twenty years later, the album still makes a great impression and does not look like a black sheep in the band's catalog.

The reissues from Metal Blade are simply amazing. First of all, it is an impeccable powerful sound, the instrumental parts are really heavy, low-frequency pressure is felt. Both vinyls sound perfectly clean. By and large, this album has always been released in DLP format and this is absolutely the right decision. And as far as it was possible to understand the issue, the original mastering was used for this reissue. The cool color design of the vinyls deserves special praise - it looks just awesome, it goes perfectly with the design code of the coverart. At the same time, both the cover and the simply monstrous poster have a very high-quality resolution, all the details are clearly visible.

Metal Blade is quite careful about the catalog of its bands, so there are no questions about the quality of the reissue, bringing guaranteed pleasure to the owner in all aspects.

PS: I want to believe that one day Earache will approach the quality of Metal Blade, because the editions of earlier Bolt Thrower albums do not stand up to criticism, even despite the repeated indication of errors.

My Digi CD first press broke too, not long after getting it.

My CD broke too! Don't know if it is the CD itself or the tray but I broke it trying to take it out of the tray...

So it is definitely declared that this digipack version has a weak manufactured cd that breaks easily?

My copy came with a Mercenary poster, probably a mistake but would like to know if some others had the same problem.

My copy has so much surface noise, the worst I own; really detracts from the album.
A shame as the packaging is awesome.

Recently bought a copy of this from hrrshop.de. I think it is a 2014 repress on Metal Blade (Europe). Could not find any info about it at the moment. Supposed to be ltd. to 500x on black wax.
