Placebo – Without You I'm Nothing

Sounds great - clear crispy heavy - everything as it should be.
4 stars is the album rated (I have very few 5 stars)

Mine is perfect. Dynamic, crunchy, lovely soundstage with the vocals and layered guitars.

This is either a mediocre pressing or I was simply unlucky by ordering a bad copy that had scratches on "Ask for Answers" and "The Crawl", which ruined the experience for me. Will give it 4 stars for the benefit of doubt, as I was satisfied with the mastering.

It's my favorite Placebo album, unfortunately the pressing is poor..

I agree with others that the audio quality is pretty poor. That said I’ve never considered any Placebo release (vinyl or otherwise) to be rated alongside top grade production or pressings. Don’t let it put you off though, just stick it on and enjoy the grit and emotion of the song writing and the album as a whole.

My copy sounds really good throughout, although it is a variant that is not listed here yet (6-digit number after MPO® 19 is mismatched). I was familiar with the CD version since its original release, and this is comparable to the CD to my ear.

I picked up a used copy of this record on a whim for a steal, having never listened to any Placebo album before. This pressing sounds very solid on my Technics 1200/M44-7 setup. The vinyl is flat and free of noise and I haven't experienced any of the issues that other reviewers have stated. I'm definitely a fan now. Solid album.

Pretty ordinary sounding release, but by the looks most of the vinyl pressings of this album are, so perhaps it comes from the quality of the master recording? Muddy, flat, compressed, muffled and dull sounding audio, such a shame given this is such a brilliant album from Placebo. I’ll keep mine just to have it on vinyl, for no other reason. But agree for listening you’d do just as well to put your CD copy on and turn it up loud.

Poor quality record sounds very muffled and stuffy. Cd I bought for $5 several years ago sounds better, I'll stick with the cd instead.
