The Wailers – Burnin'

Even though the sound quality isn't the best, having a unique cover makes this record special. The visual of Bob with his spliff was censored for legal reasons.

In reference to variant 1. This series of remasters is easy to own. The sound is excellent, and in this case the 3 bonus tracks are treasures.

Managed to find a copy at a decent price, only to find a pressing fault (In Fill lines) right across tracks 1 & 2 of side 1. Returned to Vendor. QC at the moment is really poor with Optimal. Got 3 Rhino Hi Fi Doors titled recently, 2 were badly dish warped and the other has a audible scratch on it, this is the first time I've had a Rhino Hi Fi Issue. Wonder sometimes my sanity as to why I have this hobby. I think I'll bite the bullet and get the Analogue Production releases as I am a big Marley fan !!!

Sounds as good as my OG LA Capitol. The KENDUN lacquers and Santa Maria press can’t hurt. Clear and as bass heavy as you would expect from the band. Nice pressing!

No comments? Sounds great. Clear and the unusual heavy bass. I have the 1974 Santa Maria repress and there is not much of a different sound wise so if that is available at a better cost it might be best to get that unless you are set on getting a US OG.

How do I know which I have? Mine has a numbered silver foil tuff gong “pressed in Kingston, Jamaica”seal. It’s a 4 digit number around the 3500 mark. Any help would be great.

No barcode edition, MFG BY CINRAM #900312HH. Uncompressed and full blown. Although a lower output disc this wide open transfer is only bested by this, The Wailers - Burnin'. Total time 38:41
