D.O.A. (2) – Last Scream Of The Missing Neighbors

Incredible album. Sounds good. No artifacts or sound issues on my copy.

One of my favorite albums ever looks like a great pressing. I’m stoked to see it was done with the original lost analog tapes. Definitely excited to compare the sound to the original pressing.

This pressing sounds amazing. Cut by Porky, who was one of the best in the business.

This is a killer of a punk rock album and this UK pressing sounds amazing. The sound is big, fresh, punchy, airy and crispy. I love every second of this album and the way it sounds.

Alternative Tentacles just announced a reissue of this album from the original lacquers. It's available for pre-order on their website.

Got a copy of this with a misprinted lyric sheet:
The lyric side is missing and theres the picture of "stormy weather" again,
but not fitting exactly. theres a white edge on top (~2cm) and the foot is cut off at base.

While it's not my favourite Jello Biafra project or my favourite D.O.A. album, this album has one of my favourite songs by either of them. Wish I Was In El Salvador is so fucking dark and fucked up but at the same time satirical and genuinely funny, that song scares me. Also the only track on this album that sounds like a Dead Kennedys track (this is not an insult, they just have very different styles).

Highlights:
Wish I Was In El Salvador (Absolute pummeling punishment, dark, sardonic lyrics, just a real hidden gem).

That's Progress (Great track about gentrification and nonsensical improvements for the sake of efficiency, very high energy).

Power is Boring (Very interesting idea for a song discussing the sword of damocles dictators choose to sit under willingly and how dumb that is to do).

Attack of the Peacekeepers (Funny but not as catchy as the others).

As with many PDO CDs of this time, they are turning a shade of golden brown. How much longer will they remain readable? I raised this issue with Alternative Tentacles and they sent me a newly issued CD version.
