Madonna – MDNA

5 stars. Beautiful gatefold, super bassy sound, heavy discs, loud masters, punchy sound, clean highs and not a single pop or click during the album. Thankful to have this

Reviewing every record in my collection;

Leaving the quality of the album itself aside since... It's not good at all, I must say this first pressing's sound blew me away; it's definitely mastered perfectly for an EDM, which makes it an album that when it shines (Like the first Few tracks) It does it brightly, and when it's time to come down on the quieter, less punchy sides of the album it may be less spectacular but still delivers. The album may be a stinker, but this pressing is a 10/10

sounds good but my copy has a huge glue mark on the first two tracks which makes them basically unplayable :(

I've checked out my copy and found out that Give Me All Your Luvin' is unfinished.

Waited on this but I finally got it… despite having 4 copies of the original MDNA. (I buy several back ups of artists I really like I’m nuts.)

Some say this sounds bad, some say it sounds great. I’m autistic and play stuff over and over… but I have a wide music library. This pressing is waste of money IF you have the original, but I wouldn’t poo poo it entirely.

The original pressing had its own mastering, it sounded much deeper and dirtier… it wasn’t even a contest what felt more vivid back then, CD or LP. The 24-Bit Apple master is an improvement over the CD, and has more of a balance between the 2. The CD I have to turn the bass down, too much for me.

I got this a few days ago. It’s literally the Apple master pressed to LP, not the original LP mastering, so they sound different. I know every frequency to every version of this album the back of my hand.

If you’re unhappy with the CD mastering, this technically is an in improvement, but not the milestone of the original. You can just turn on Apple Music to hear the “new” lp pressing. If you’re a completist, get this pressing. If you’re unhappy with the CD mastering, this sounds much better.

So to those confused as to why some are complaining of bad sound… no you’re not crazy, it’s better then your CD. They just have terrible set ups. Poorly calibrated cartridges, people claiming they know what they’re doing and know nothing about SRA (Stylus Rake Angle.)

It’s a good pressing, with the mastering available on Apple Music. Like Confessions on a Dance Floor, same Mastering for the LP on Apple.

Finally I got a copy after missing the 2012 pressing. This is a pristine reissue. The packaging is almost the same as the 2012 version but obviously the records were mastered from a different source or at least on a different studio. I could notice few clicks on Some Girls, my favorite from the album BTW, I cleaned the record on the most basic way you can imagine and the clicks were not there anymore. Loved the artwork and the black vinyl suits well.
On my opinion, the album itself isn’t worth $60. But since I collect Madonna’s studio albums on vinyl, I had to have MDNA. Now only Ray of Light and Madame X are missing.
Overall this is a 9/10.

This really is a reissue. The discs are heavy and flat, well centered, dead quiet and sound great. I also noticed sibilance on Masterpiece, but it’s not terrible. If you can find this for around $50 (I got mine from innersleeve.com), it’s really worth it.

Edit: did anyone else notice that the end of Turn Up The Radio has this area where the grooves get really wide for apparently no reason before the runout groove starts? Pics: https://imgur.com/a/YvviqQq

This was always my least favourite M album, however finally owning it on vinyl I have grown to appreciate it! Dynamic and punchy so much life has been pumped into these songs! Praying for Hard Candy to get repressed next

Ok... people saying this sounds bad... I don't believe you or I'm really lucky... It sounds pretty mind-blowing in all usual vinyl categories, quiet, dynamic, centered... I have a more than decent set up... I would hear bad quality right away.. I don't hear it at all on this
