Sounds pretty darn good to these ears. Melancholy Man is gorgeous.

Listened to a needledrop of this and must say it sounds absolutely lifeless. Barely anything below 200Hz on Melancholy Man, one of the best songs ever written! I would recommend getting the "This is the Moody Blues" compilation double-album instead.

looks like this is a top-loader pressing. i dont see any notes here though, can somebody confirm?

Very dynamic, explosive pressing. The bass fills the room and the top end is clear and lacks the inner groove distortion that I've noticed on most US pressings of moody blues albums. Highly recommended if you can't get a UK pressing(though those are probably not that expensive anyway, so I'd just buy that instead).

Seems odd that this release doesn't have the fact that it TOP LOADS mentioned in the description. I believe most of the 70s releases in the US and the UK were top loaded - correct me if I'm wrong. At the very least I know this one is top loaded since I have it in my hands. :)
