So I bought it, it's perfect as with most of the records that apparently don't sound right etc etc.
Buy with confidence, it's loud and clear, I swear to you!!

From the reviews below you will not be able to decipher if the repress/remaster is actually any better than the original, I know I'm struggling.

Not a fan of side b. The mastering is terrible (lots of tape hiss and not in a good way!) and the music is not to my taste. It is certainly not deep house even by '88 standards. It reminds me of the presets/patches you might find on a early 90's 'rompler' synth. Side a is better. I actually prefer a1 to a2 especially the last minute or so. The drum programming here is not bad at all. BUT, I expected a lot more given the reputation this has. I will listen to it again though to see if I like it a bit more.

Curious as to why some “cook pressings” are blocked from sales here on discogs.

Which of the older pressings sounds better, the one with the red text or the one with the blue text?

Amazing ep, yes the quality is terrible but it's still really nice.
The trax re-press is TERRIBLE, the original blue text is pretty bad but this is EVEN worse, it's actually criminally bad, save your money and complain to whoever runs Trax now.
I sort of knew it was going to be a bad re-press coming from rip off Trax but risked it as it would be a super historic treat to hear those tunes in better quality.
Don't be fooled that they pressed it on 2x 12", seriously a waste of everyone's time and plastic! 0/100
I've not heard the original red text, any better?

Why is this blocked from sale? This does not look to be a bootleg pressing.

Great remastered sound compared to the original. Good idea to have the tracks on a double 12“. Only the information on the label is wrong, it says 1986 but it’s actually from 1988. Hopefully this is an error and not on purpose to make it look cooler or more pioneering which it is anyway!
