I sold my copy a year ago, and honestly, a bit regret about that. I wish I could have held onto it, but at the time, I needed the money.

This pressing is absolutely phenomenal. A solid 10/10! I completely agree with all the comments praising its high sound quality. The depth and clarity make it feel like you’re sitting right there in the studio with the band as they lay down each track. The warmth of the analog sound, the rich instrument separation—everything about it is pure perfection. And Anthony Kiedis’ vocals? It’s like he’s right next to you, singing straight into your ear. If you ever get the chance to grab this on vinyl, don’t hesitate. It’s an experience, not just a record.

Sounds great but anyone else experience a lot of skipping? Too bad because it does sound so good (when not skipping) especially compared to other RH albums.

I've cleaned it (Degritter) multiple times and don't experience this much skipping with other LP's in my collection.

This was my first audiophile record. My favorite RH record. I learned how to play guitar learning songs from this record. Everything has already been mentioned about this record (i.e all the good praises).

Even if you are not a RH, I would highly recommend this. This is one of the very few records post 90s, mastered very well to show how too much compression has ruined modern listening experiences. I think any audiophile should be happy to get this easily as it is still in print.

Thank you Steve Hoffman and Kevin Gray for this gem of a record. Owning one of your favourite childhood records with this level of sonic depth and clarity is a dream come true.

Easily one of the best sounding records in my collection so far. Absolutely worth the hype.

The packaging is nice, they ship the discs in poly sleeves instead of the paper junk that you normally get nowadays. Lots of cool photos and etcetera that I don’t recall my CD having.
The record just sounds amazing. Besides the fact that this is (in my opinion) the absolute peak of the Chili Peppers, the pressing sounds amazing for the era in which it was recorded. The bass is highly prevalent in the mix, but it isn’t overpowering. It actually sounds very clearly seperate from everything else but nonetheless super thick. Awesome if you love bass, otherwise you will probably want to lower the bass on your EQ. John’s guitars just sound awesome; you can hear a lot of extra detail in the tracks that isn’t necessarily as audible in the digital versions of this record. It definitely feels like a lot of care was taken when they mastered the record. I only wish Californication could also sound this good in of production.
