Iggy Pop – Brick By Brick

This pressing beats the EU counterpart, which is not bad - but this is superior. When Kate Pierson comes in on Candy it feels like she sings right in front of you. Hardly ever have I experienced anything such when it comes to totally surprising me as a listener.

BUYER BEWARE: My copy of this release has started to 'pinhole', as have quite a few CDs that were manufactured between the early 1980's & the mid 1990's.
There are articles, on-line, that were written about this ongoing problem.
My advice is to rip your copy of this release asap, before the pinholes increase & become problematic
during playback of the CD.

Why is Kate Pierson not credited? Sound, i find is a little doll! Still i love it😂

I’m puzzled that this record typically sells for $30 - $60 range. Can anyone explain why? I love Iggy Pop but this particular record is mediocre to my ears. New Values, Soldier, Party and Zombie Birdhouse LP’s are top notch.

Clean pressing. Had to boost the bass a bit vs. the original CD, but the sound is full and detailed. Analogue distortion seems to mitigate the '90s digital recording excesses. I could have done without the bonus track, "Livin' On The Edge On The Night," which I didn't like then and has aged poorly. But overall, I'm thrilled to finally have this album on vinyl. A highlight of '80s-'90s Iggy.

My original Canadian CD ends with the song "Brick by Brick." The album is greatly improved without the addition of "Livin' On The Edge Of The Night," which is not only the weakest song on the standard version of the album, but especially a downer as it follows the epic close of "Brick by Brick." It was a poor choice to add a soundtrack single that weak to what was otherwise a really strong start to the '90s for Ig.

Just found "Brick by Brick Sampler Tape with 5 songs including Home (Sanitized Edit) with great black n white illustration not on regular release.

Living At The Edge of The Night is listed on the back cover but not on the inner label and is not on the record. Weird.
