Queen – Rock Montreal

Amazing show with amazing quality.
It was shot with the highest definition at the time.
I had a chance to watch it on IMAX, and it is the best version for home.
Live Aid is the cherry on top.

It took 4 times to get discs that play right. Definitely not the player. Defective discs. Just keep returning for replacements till you get 2 working discs!!!

The package is terrible, jacket sleeve for a triple vinyl :(

Since I have the 2007 boxed triple this version I shall on. It’s a pity they released this again because now there won’t be another release for some time.

Great pressing quality. Records are flat and not a single pop on all six sides in my case. 10/10.

Sound is good. It could be more clear. It’s definitely not muffled but it lacks a bit more space. 8/10

An excellent physical pressing. There is no distortion of any sort on my copy. It has a ballsy low-end without being overpowering.
(Rega RP6 with Ortofon black cart through McIntosh MA5200 amp & Axiom M60 v2 speakers.)

Offering this concert in full frame 35mm is an excellent thing, as well as in 16/9, but personally I prefer full frame.
The restoration is of the highest quality, and it's a shame I don't have a 4K screen to afford the 4K version.
The image is fantastic. This is where you see the full potential of 35mm film. But I even thought that this concert was filmed in 70mm. Does anyone know?
On the other hand, Universal and Queen Production should be ashamed of themselves when it comes to the quality of the packaging. They're taking the piss. Why don't we get a real box?

This looks stunning in 4k HDR. Glad this was recorded on 35mm film at the time. Sounds great as well. Much prefer the full frame version with HDR. They give you just about every option across the two discs but then go cheap on the packaging.
