Soft drones, ominous soundscapes. Probably my favorite drone album and favorite Hospital Productions release. This pressing sounds good, though I do wish there was less surface noise seeing as how quiet the music is on some sections. Though it does not take much away from the listening experience. -

Does anyone recognize any of the album covers from the interior cd tray? -
13 years on and IMPERIAL DISTORTION is still one of the most singular listening experiences in the worlds of noise and drone. This album takes me places, man. Beautiful places. Terrifying places. It's the soundtrack to sitting in a dimly lit room as a winter storm rages just outside the window. (I recently moved to the northern end of Minnesota, and somehow the album makes even *more* sense now.) -
be careful with the volume at the end of the last track, i've had an ear bleeding....
