Kate Bush – Aerial

I'm happy to say my copy is absolutely wonderful. Very little to no surface noise, great soundstage...the packaging is beautiful, and so is the color of the vinyls. I undertand these reissues have been hit or miss sometimes, but I'm very glad to own this and you've got to it it's a nice way to compliment her incredible catalog !

my copy sounds pretty good. on each side, there is some surface noise but it's still bearable, it's not as bad as other reviews here. i do notice on side C, the volume is a little quiet so i have to raise it up just to hear, but other than that, the remaster is very nice! the orange color is so beautiful, and the subtle marbling is so gorgeous i can't get over it. if you love kate bush, this is a MUST HAVE.

I take it these 2023 reissues are the same re-recorded version of the original album as the 2018 reissues?

Sidenote, what's with the "made in Holland" stickers when this record was clearly pressed in the UK at the old EMI plant (by this point run by Portal Space)? Was there a second pressing done by Record Industry?

Yet another quality release crom Kate Bush. Side Two should have become tedious to my ears, but my listening pleasure simply inctreased.

This is a nice pressing with a low noise floor - until you hit Side 3, and 'Prelude' and the first half of 'Prologue', both of which are afflicted by loud regular clicks, which pretty much make these tracks unlistenable. They won't clean out, and there are no visible scratches or other imperfections. That means it's in the stamper - which just is not good enough. The OBI has a pressing date and this is sold as a feature. Mine says 9 October 2023. But it seems they're all like this (i.e. there aren't batches dated differently that can be compared) So: nice project, lousy quality control on the pressing.

my copies are noisy, not as bad as the OG press, that is unfortunately unlistenable which I hate and wish it was cause nothing will match the original master and original versions of these songs. The records themselves look amazing.

This is much better value than the other titles in the series, coming with a very thick gatefold and a lavish 24 page booklet, as well as double vinyl for just a tenner more than the "single album in single sleeve with nothing extra" other titles in the series. However, this is the first title in the series (my fifth) where my pressing isn't immaculate and scratches that last six revolutions on BOTH vinyl LPs is very disappointing, especially when the other titles were flawless. The opening track on side 1 of both LPs have scratches that last six revolutions and weren't removed by deep cleans on a Humminguru ultrasonic cleaner so I have to assume it's an issue with the pressing (there's no flaws visible when looking at the vinyl). There seem to have been issues with this series. At the date of writing (4th February 2024) I've just been told that the orange chutney pressing of "The Kick Inside" has now been delayed another month having already been delayed from last November because of "issues with the pressing". Juno have actually listed THIS title today as a "pre-order" with no release date being given, and "The Sensual World" and "Red Shoes" that were indicated as "in stock" when I ordered last week have now been delayed "probably a week as they are flying out faster than we can get stock" (this doesn't make much sense since there's no sign of any of these albums in the official vinyl charts that don't exactly require high sales to in the Top 30). I don't mind waiting if the quality is maintained, but the persistent delays and the long scratches I've experienced on this title are worrying.
