Music and noise sounds like it samples Electric Prunes - I had too much to dream last night.

Yeah this '97 remix is pretty bad. Absolutely devoid of any feeling from the original. Really shouldn't exist to be honest.

The Montini Experience remix isn't actually too bad, it has a solid Techno vibe that's definitely usable. Sounds a little dated with the psycho strings though.

Of course they had the good sense to include the Blastomania mix so at least that's reason enough to pick a copy of this up dirt cheap.

I always found it weird when labels would release remixes but keep the sleeve almost identical to the original 12".

I mean, if you were in a record shop and already owned Fairy Dust you'd be forgiven for looking right past this release as "you already had it". Just that fake sticker top left is all there is to tell it apart. For all you know your copy just didn't have that "sticker".

FFS, at least make the sleeve a different colour (blue for example). Something to scream THIS IS A REMIX!

If you are around the end of your 40s, you would have heard this upon release and had your breath taken away, whilst your feet and hips were simultaneously forced to move. I last heard it out in 1994 at a Reclaim The Streets protest which took over the temporarily-closed Westway motorway in London. The only vehicle on the hard shoulder was a lorry, which looked abandoned. Once the police had given up trying to stop the thousands who had tresed above the shops of Shepherds Bush, the tarpaulin covering the lorry was thrown off, and the first tune was this. Quite un-real and extremely potent.

Two huge Belgium tracks on this 12" from 1991 ! These were massive tracks played heavily.
"Fairy Dust" has the big screeching synth riff that cuts right through you, with its driving beats, deep driving bassline with additional synths loops adding additional texture, feel and energy to the track in parts. There's four mixes to pick from which all play on slightly different elements of the track. Big track back in its day.
"Music and Noise" is more of a 4x4 track with bags of energy, with a cheeky acid rift to start the track off that intersperses, with its two synth loops one giving its its energy along with the driving percussion, and the other the classic big synth sound / feel that really fills a room. Huge track and still love it today.
These are two fantastic tracks that bring back a lot of happy memories, if your a fan of the old school then these are for you !

Fairy Dust (Blastomania Mix) is the ONLY mix you need!... The rest is pretty flat..That goes for Frank De Wulf's mixes on the other 12"....

Set Up System ‎– Fairy Dust ...
That sound has never ever been replicated!
The closest was Furious District- Stop!...
I'd love to know how Danny van Wauwe, Peter Ramson got that sound..
Sounds like it may have come from a sample first then fed through the synth?...
A1 Fairy Dust (Blastomania Mix) is the business right here!
                      Coupled with ...Second Phaze- Mentasm...
                      Out_fecking- standing!
