Who ever puts the Urban stock stickers or the damn price stickers on the hype stickers or on the front cover clearly is doing this out of spite. So ANNOYING to rip off the price sticker and rip off "limited to 1000 quantities" when that's something I'd like to have on my hype sticker. Also the pinwheel isn't white it's more of a cloudy clear with purple not anything like the mock-up.

      Sound is great!

Urban drops the ball once again.

Mostly a fan of other types of music, but I feel this album to my bone. I wish I was a fly on the wall when this was produced.

The only good album from Major Lazer, it's a fun one, with some pop sensibilities in it, but still true to its roots in dancehall music. It's too bad Diplo went off the wayside and pursued dull house music since.

Crazy fun from Major Lazer on their debut GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE... LAZERS DO. Diplo and Switch have taken dancehall and twisted it into this mutant entity. So while "Hold the Line" has the dancehall thump-thump, it's the rhythm guitar, vocal contortions of Santigold and Mr. Lex, and telephone noises which give it form. Similarly, "When You Hear the Bassline" revels in its cut-and-paste aesthetic, the vocals by Ms. Thing sped and slowed into her own band. But within the dancehall style, Major Lazer stretch their legs: the pure reggae of "Can't Stop Now," the rock attitude of "Lazer Theme," the boastful sex come-ons of "What U Like," or the ridiculous humor of "Mary Jane" (the last one a good thing, actually). The snare-infused "Pon de Floor" has a bit of electro to keep it popping. But for me, the stand-out surprise on the album is "Keep It Goin' Louder," a club-ready track that's juicy in all the right places. This lazer will kill you several times over!

I can't believe no love has been left for this LP. Let me start by saying, i am by no means, into Dancehall at all - i come from a house/trance background, but this LP is just so good. Diplo & Switch both bring a wealth of influences to the table and it clearly shows. They're also not afraid to create something new and experiment. They've created something so distinctive, so unique that you can see why they are fast becoming the go-to-guys for beats, even by American artists.

Onto this LP, well, there is no dud on here really, they are all potentially club records. Some of these "riddims" have already done the rounds too. Hold The Line got some heavy play through the summer, but for me, Pon De Floor is the killer here.

I guess the most complimentary fact is that this record has been acknowledged by the Dancehall scene, and dancehall artist themselves have used "riddims" from the various tracks on this album. Great stuff, look forward to hearing more from these two.
