Very loud bumping production, weird how bmg did amazing with this but can’t master tension 2 well enough and both are on one disc lmao!

Reviewing every record in my collection;

To be Honest, I was pleasantly surprised by this pressing, I wasn't expecting much since I found it on a record fair out of nowhere (and I was exactly looking for this record in particular) so I just went along and purchase it. Of course the thought of an original EU first press has always been on the back of my mind but now that I'm relistening to it because of my rant through my collection, I must it, this pressing sounds really darn good! It's full of details and a good sounding bass that doesn't come off as overbearing. I really enjoyed it, my only complaints are the lack of an inner sleeve (but there's an insert so I guess it's fine) and that there's a bit of sibilance near the runnout grooves, but for what I've read that's a common fault present in all first issues of Kylie albums. But leaving that aside, it sounds and feels like a really good 80s pressing

would have been nicer to have had The Kylie Collection issued in the UK for the first time.

The first beat in "I Should Be So Lucky" is incomplete, a few seconds are missing!

For those who monitor / update the data on these pressings, the record is pressed at MPO. Mastering is good - needs a bit of volume to reveal everything - not too brittle or sibilant, though there is a certain lack of dynamics. Artwork looks great - faithful to the original, and the coloured vinyl is a great choice.

I don’t have an original pressing but this sounds great to me! Very loud like a traditional 80’s pressing, no surface noise, sides are very well centered. Packaging was great. So glad I picked this up!

The remaster here is ok - much better than the dreadful Whitney Houston - Whitney that came out last year - but doing a quick comparison to an old 1988 press of this album, you can tell it's been digitally compressed. The midtones lack the depth and sparkle compared to the older press and overall the songs lack just a little bit of punch. On the flip side, the reissue is a much nicer gatefold and inner sleeve. Overall if you already have a copy from the 80's - this might not be worth getting as an upgrade but if you don't already own it, this isn't the worst.

This vinyl pressing sounds amazing, dynamic and zero surface noise. The colour looks great too. The album itself has aged really well, the Anti tour made me fall in love with this album.
