Universal Records was announced and d in various fanzines in November 1994. I am guessing the growing fracture between Hardcore and Jungle forced Slipmatt's Universal Records these days, but hey this was the 90s!

Advertising for DJR were also poised to have a release too.

The label had a number of strong releases, although it's surprising Slipmatt didn't stamp his production skills equally across the output, in the same way that Luna-C did for Kniteforce. So on the one hand, you have the impeccably produced Vibena - Positive Energy which sound relatively lo-fi in comparison.

Overall, a solid run of Happy Hardcore releases from an enjoyable moment in time.
