Flightless

I have received around a dozen packages in the UK from Flightless in the last few years. 3 of these had 2 or more severely warped & unplayable records in them. I emailed Flightless each time sending them some pics of the damaged records. Everytime replacements were sent which arrived perfectly. I can't complain about the after sales service. Apart from a couple of Traffik Island LPs which looked like a pressing fault the rest looked like they had been damaged in transit.

Update to my moaning about the quality of shipping vinyl from October: to be fair, even if the conditions under FAQ did not change until now, what is still a shame..... the last two packages came without splits, only one little ding once, because the wrapping is more stable now. Still shipping unsealed records in the sleeves, should be no question of time or money. Take care for your customers please.....

I really like most of the records they make, but even after 7 years their mailorder is still not able to make safe packaging for vinyl, par example even unsealed records are shipped around the world inside of the covers, so I had many splits aso and they don't replace those things (perhaps since 2 years), so the buyer has to take the risc. Good luck! Really sorry to say that, it's a shame...

They removed recently from their homepage the pic and text about the beginning, when they shipped vinyls in pizza boxes. :)

This is one of the FAQs from their homepage (as 5th Oct. 2019):
"Can I get a refund?
We can’t do refunds for things like imperfect packaging or minor scuffs that inevitably happen during the shipping process. If you want to get your hands on perfect stock, your best bet is to pick up a record at one of our shows. If your record doesn’t work or sounds whack, send us an email at [email protected] and we can sort out an exchange for you."
