Originally founded in 1951 in Tomkins Cove, New York (Rockland County), by Bob Fine and George Piros; relocated to the WMGM building, 711 5th Avenue, New York, circa 1954 to 1956.

Renamed Fine Recording Studios), in 1957, and located in the Great Northern Hotel, 57th St. and 6th Ave.
