The series started in December 2023 with four Impulse titles: Michael White – The Land Of Spirit And Light, Pharoah Sanders – Summun Bukmun Umyun, Sun Ra – Space Is The Place, Archie Shepp – The Cry Of My People. The titles were selected during the production of the Vinyl Me, Please Impulse Anthology, but were separated out as their own series with the spiritual jazz theme.
