Sveriges Radio

There are two uses of this label. One is a record label, another is a generic name for activities of the broadcasting company such as studio recordings, and branding of licenses for other labels. For a profile of the national broadcasting company, see Sveriges Radios Studios.

The label was inaugurated in 1957, after the broadcasting company changed its name from Radiotjänst. It was used until around 1970, when the new label SR Records was inaugurated. It seems they were both used simultaneously for some years. Many records were reissued under the new label after 1970.
