Sound 80 Studios

Recording and mastering studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA), associated with Herb Pilhofer.

The studio's Record Mastering Center was built around the first Neumann VMS-70 computer controlled lathe installed in the US (in January 1970), connected to a console of Sound 80's own design and manufacture.

Engineers known to have worked here: David Rivkin and Mark Durenberger.
