Ben Cherrill was A&R for the label between 1995 and 1997 before moving to Manifesto.
The label scored it’s biggest hit in January 1998 when Fatboy Slim remixed Wildchild's ‘Renegade Master’ and it reached number 3 in UK singles chart. It went on to sell in excess of 350,000 physical copies in the UK and achieved a BPI Silver Sales Award.

    Fantastic label, quality releases. Always found it strange how the label just stopped entirely after their biggest success to date (Renegade Master ‘98). Would love to know more about what happened there. Here’s hoping that the Hi-Life back catalogue gets the digital reissue treatment that so many other 90’s labels are getting at the moment.
