Majestic 12

Majestic 12 was a rather unique UK label (in fact worldwide) as each release featured multi-style genre EPs of Hard House / Hard Trance / Acid one side and Drum n Bass / Jungle / Breakbeat styles on the other - often remixes of the same tune. This made it quite popular in that a DJ could play each EP in two different sets.

The label ran from 1998 - 2003 with a rather slow, but quality release schedule and was distributed by Alphamagic. It was often considered to be a sister label of Public House Records, offering a more experimental sound.

Seemingly named after a UFO conspiracy theory.
