The label actually wasn't that bad up to about 2011. From about 2012 on, albums started to sound a bit muffled and lower quality. I don't know what happened, but around that time, they got their in-house producer, Alessandro Del Vecchio. Nothing against the guy, but every album his name is on that I've heard has that muddy/low-quality sound, but it's not exclusive to him and many of their albums sound that way.
Something I've also noticed is pretty much every album sounds exactly the same; it's one thing for an artist to have a signature sound, but the fact multiple artists have the exact same style is a bit odd. I know they really push "melodic rock," so I think they may be forcing a sound on their artists, which is truly a shame. Under this, not only can artists not have their own unique sound, but it gives the label a bad look of churning out a bunch of samey albums that just get tiresome if you listen to more than 3 of those artists. I don't know if they actually are forcing a sound, but I know they've turned down albums and had disagreements with artists over sound.
Pre-2012 was pretty good: The recordings were good (or at least better) quality, albums and artists sounded different, and just overall had a different, less fatiguing feel than they have now. Hardline and Jeff Scott Soto are two examples of artists that have been affected in my opinion. Their 2000s albums on the label were really good and had unique sounds, but their recent albums all sound the same and have that lower-quality sound. A few, such as Eclipse and The Defiants, sound better than others, but both of them suffer from that samey problem.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the output from this label and I like the albums I've heard, even the ones I accused of being affected by the problems I mentioned above, it's just that the albums that do have those problems are usually average and forgettable (but still likable if you're okay with their sound). -
It's a shame that quality bands should suffer from bad post production sound. Vinyls sound bad! And I mean really bad. Fix it!

Record Company with bad sound recording production. It's high time to WAKE UP and get the WAX out of your ears. Because, DAMN ! It sounds awful and I am not joking !
