Singer, songwriter, string player (ukelele, guitar, banjo) and producer from Vancouver, British Columbia. Originally from the US, he started playing ukelele at age 8. Dropped out of University after three years to Papa Bear's Medicine Show in 1966 (he was "Papa Bear"), who moved from Seattle to Burnaby, British Columbia shortly after formation. Left PBMS to start his solo career in 1970.
