Jón Ásgeirsson

Icelandic composer and arranger (born 11.10.1928).

Jon studied at the College of Music, where his teachers were the main Arni Kristjansson, dr. Victor Urbancic and Jon Þórarinsson. The successful completion of Music postgraduate studies at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire in Glasgow and the Guildhall of Music in London. In addition composition has Jon lecturer jobs, most of Iceland University of Education, who was appointed professor of music, 1996.
