Victor Harvey Briggs was born in Feltham outside of London on February 14, 1945 and died in New Zealand on June 30, 2021. At the age of 17, he was playing professionally. He had been a member of numerous groups during the 60's and spent a year touring with Dusty Springfield as well as playing on many of her records during 1965. As a member of Eric Burdon & The Animals (1966-1969), in addition to sharing lead guitar chores, he was the group's music director and arranger. His association with Eric Burdon & the Animals made him a key player in British psychedelia. Jimi Hendrix named Briggs as one of his favorite guitarists, alongside Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.

In the 70's, Briggs became a Sikh and took the name Vikram Singh Khalsa, making several albums of Indian music and was the first non-Indian to perform kirtan at Harimandir Sahib.

He adopted the name the name Antion Meredith and played Hawaiian chant music.
