Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto

Electronic collaboration between Carsten Nicolai's first tour of Japan. He was subsequently commissioned to remix Sakamoto's material for the Japanese magazine Code Unfinished.

The results of a 2-year music exchange were released as Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto With Ensemble Modern - utp_ in 2008. The duo recorded several further albums until Sakamoto was diagnosed with cancer.
