Richard Lepore

American percussionist and distinguished music educator (1939, West Hartford, Connecticut — 20 June 2003, West Springfield, Massachusetts). Richie Lepore was an in-demand session player for many years, recording a diverse range of material, from Jeff Porcaro.

Richard Lepore grew up in Connecticut and learned percussion with Modern Drummer magazine featured an interview with him in the "Focus on Teachers" section. Lepore settled in Massachusetts in the late 1980s, teaching at Holyoke Community College and Westfield State University until his retirement.
