Pye record cuts by him can be identified by △S, ♢S, ✳S (1964 - 1968) and △W and ♢W (1968 - 1974).
The symbols identify the cutting suites:
The diamond: until 1974 identifying the Westrex/Scully lathe and from 1974 onwards identifying the Neumann SX74 lathe.
The triangle: until 1968 identifying the Westrex/Scully lathe and from 1968 onwards identifying the Neumann SX68 lathe.
The star: identifying the Westrex/Scully mono lathe, operative until ca. 1974.

After leaving Pye in 1975, he worked as technical manager for a tape duplicating firm in Dublin (Ireland) owned by Battery Studios, London, as well as for Aerco Productions, Utopia Studios, and FWO Bauch (studio gear company).
