Gary Salstrom

Gary is currently the plant manager at Paramount Pressing & Plating in Denver, Colorado.

In 1979, Gary was hired as a plating technician at Wakefield Manufacturing in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1980, he was their plating supervisor. At the time of the plant's closing in 1989, Gary was managing the plating, quality control and test pressing departments.

After the Wakefield plant closed, Gary went to work at Record Technology Incorporated in Camarillo, California in September, 1989. He left RTI in 1992 to pursue his love of photography.

In 1995, Gary was rehired at RTI to revamp their plating department. Gary continued to work at RTI until 2001 when he left to open his own camera shop. After his camera shop closed in 2007, he went to work at Classic Records. In 2009, Gary once again went back to work at RTI, this time working as their quality control supervisor.

In 2010, he became the plant manager and head plating technician at Quality Record Pressings in Salina, Kansas.

Gary learned his craft largely from legendary plating technician Ed Tobin while working at Wakefield Manufacturing.

He was born in 1958 and raised in Olympia, Washington.
