American vocalist and actress, originally from Granite City, Illinois.

Conway started as a singer, and in the early days of her career sang under the name Julie Sherwin, performing at least with Raymond Paige's "Musicomedy" on CBS (1948), "Crime Photographer," and "Armstrong's Theatre of Today," (as the commercial reading Armstrong Quaker Girl).

In 1958, she and her husband, tv and radio announcer Bob Sherry (m. 1945–1988), purchased the radio station KIDD in Monterey, California, which they owned for fourteen years. In California, she appeared in several productions at the Studio Theatre in Carmel, and the Old Wharf Theatre in Monterey.
